What you notice is the surface — the boards, the railing, the stairs you climb. What you don't notice is everything holding it up: footings, joist hangers, ledger bolts, flashing, beam connections, the small calls that decide whether it still feels solid a decade out.
So we'd rather get specific before a single board gets ordered. Walk the yard. Look at how the house sits. Poke at the old porch if there's one still standing. Ask how you actually want to use the space. Then you get a real scope instead of a round number with half the details left out.
Yard slopes off toward the back? We'll bring it up. Old frame turns out worse once we're into it? You'll hear about it, not after the invoice lands. And if a repair gets you there without a full rebuild, we'll say so.
No interest in making it complicated. We're here to build it right and move on.
